This installation dwells in the space between objects, urban geography, and queer symbolism.
It draws on personal memory: the private ritual of building a playground of one's own, of inventing hiding places: tents, chairs turned into walls, wardrobes as gateways to other worlds. These were spaces where I wanted to disappear, to become unfindable within the boundaries of ordinary objects.
The objects surrounding the structure evoke the hidden geography of gay cruising in public space. Sites built on the same tension between being found and remaining hidden, between visibility and disappearance. Corners where unknown bodies search for pleasure in the shadows of the city.
