Concrete, nails, branches. Structures have been built, damaged, repaired, and changed over time, never quite reaching a final state.The work reflects on the ways identity is constructed through what is inherited, imposed and desired. Queerness enters this space as a way of questioning structures that are presented as natural or permanent. The family, the home, the body, the roles we are expected to inhabit. To make a home, then, can also mean altering the structure that was given to us.
Resquícios considers belonging not as a fixed place, but as an ongoing act of making, breaking, and making again.
